Hey guys, and welcome to the first ever episode of the SystM Online Business Podcast.

I wanted to start with an introduction episode before we get into the valuable lessons about starting, managing and scaling an online business. 

So as this is the introduction I decided to call this, Episode Zero.

Okay, so why a podcast ?

For starters, I’m a big podcast fan.

I’ve been listening to podcasts now solidly for the past 4-5 years. Mostly business podcasts and mostly podcasts about online business.

I listen to Pat Flynn, Shane & Jocelyn Samms, John Lee Dumas, Chris Ducker, Andrew Youderian, Steve Chou, Dustin Hartzler and  James Schramko.

And I listen to podcasts generally whilst walking the dogs. I have several Huskies so I do quite a bit of dog walking.

Now I know better than anyone that I haven’t got a voice for podcasting, but things like that shouldn’t stop you from trying to progress, from trying to reach as many people as possible.

I am painfully shy yet I have full video courses, with my actual face on screen. It killed me to do it, but, it’s done and it will only get easier the more I do it.

I don’t want these things to be the reason why I don’t do things to go forward with MY business. And I want to help YOU to put these things aside and to go forward with YOUR business.

So, let me start by introducing myself. My name is Richard Bailey, and I live just outside York in the United Kingdom.

I’ve been involved in online business in various ways for at least the last 15 years. I have had a web design agency, an SEO company, several online ecommerce stores and even a web hosting company.

But now, I want to share my experiences and my knowledge with other people. So, I have put together an online business academy, it’s called SystM – that’s s-y-s-t-m, (it’s basically SYSTEM without the E) and the URL is systm.co.uk

It’s really not as difficult as you think.

But let’s look at this sensibly. 

This is NOT a get rich quick scheme. This is proven methods for starting and managing a profitable business that will be bringing in money for you year in and year out.

But let’s get one thing clear from the outset – it’s not going to be a walk in the park.You WILL have to work hard. You WILL have to initially put in long hours, and invest a little bit of money, although we will try and keep the investing as low as possible.

I will show you how to install WordPress and install plugins and themes to make your website exactly how you would like it.

I will show you how to create your own online business and then more importantly how to market your business and create loyal fans and customers.

We have step by step trainings on Facebook advertising, Google adwords and Search Engine Optimization.

We will look at your business idea in depth and evaluate its effectiveness and profitability.

We will create an avatar or perfect customer, and sculpt your sales and marketing language to relate directly to that perfect customer.

We will look at outsourcing tedious repetitive tasks either to virtual assistants or to automation tools.
